The Pussycat PC

Pussycat

It whirls, crawls, purrs and even passes gas (a perfume scent) and at the end of the day can tabulate and balance your spreadsheet! The Pussycat PC and mini robot is one of the latest innovations and concept computers that contestants are creating as part of Microsoft's Next PC Design competition. This competition has netted everything from the whacky to the out-landish but the Pussycat PC is a fan favorite! You can set it either to computer mode, where you can use the screen on its face for all of your standard computer and online tasks and you can also set it to pussy cat mode. This mode turns the Pussy cat computer into a virtual pet where it moves just like a cat, can recognize it's master via face recognition and can even be used as a home security device. Perhaps, this computer will never see the light up day as a product but it's very nice to see the wheels of creativity and ingenuity in motion!

A "Yummy" Of A Cool Concept Gadget!

Yummykitchenconnect1_12 There's one sure fire thing about concept gadgets and that is either the ideas are so far fetched that a product will never materialize and come to market or they lack the imagination and overall ingenuity to really be taken serious. The Yummy Kitchen Connect is full of potential but in theory, this device is nothing more than a scaled laptop without the keyboard. Yummykitchenconnect_12 The Yummy Kitchen Connect connects to the cooking network and food blogosphere right from your kitchen. Yummy was specifically designed to adorn your kitchen and fits inconspicuously on the wall without taking up nary an extra space.  The Yummy recommends meals based on your food supply and diet and it can also access media such as pod-casts, video blogs, music, webtv and Skype. One can also update their recipes via their blog and the device can also scan bar codes on products with it's camera and RFID and keep track of the inventory (groceries) in your refrigrator as well as your cupboards. Pretty nifty, eh?

There's nothing worse than having your gadgets stolen! Gadgettrak_1 Whether it's a laptop or a mp3 player, such a debilitating theft of your prized electronic gadgets is enough to conjure up thoughts of ill-will to the culprit that stole pieces of your personality and being. GadgetTrak can assist you in actually tracking down your stolen gadgets. This FREE software can load onto any portable USB device. Thus, when you report it as stolen, the software then loads itself onto any computer it's plugged into and starts to gather data, then let's you know where it is. Now that's one serious low-jack for your gadgets!

The Snoop Stick Aids Parents

Sskey300_1 The SnoopStick ($60) from CYBERsitter could conceivably give parents a piece of mind when it comes to knowing the sites that their children visit, seeing all incoming and outgoing IM conversations as well as outgoing and incoming emails. Simply install the software (which is invisible and does not show up in the software installation add and remove program menu in Windows), take the USB stick with you and plug it into your own PC and spy away in real time or you can see what's been recorded. Additionally, this software also can block access to ports and websites and you can set allowable time for Internet use too. You can also block social networking sites and can even send out a real time "your busted message" to your offending child. Although, why would you want to do that? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of your child knowing that you're onto them? Perhaps, one could use a more subtle approach. This SnoopStick is Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista Ready.

A Voice Activated Safe..No Really..

Just what you always wanted, aBtvoiceactiv_1_1 Voice Activated Safe! Pardon the the sarcasm here. This safe can be set up to be activated by your voice as well as the the conventional number combination method (which perhaps is the best bet). But if you're in a rush or are just too lazy to take the time to come up with a combination, then go right ahead. The one caveat about having such a safe is that you have to be very careful in not saying your "safe word" in the earshot of folks!

BMW Engineered Speakers...Well, Sort of!

Oheochaaudiophilespkrs_small_3 The O'hEocha Audiophile Speakers look like some alien space invaders! Created by former BMW designer Aonghus O'hEocha these metalic wonders are hand crafted and pack 200-watts of three dimensional sound. Believe it or not, these $9,000 speakers are sold out at the moment. I guess it goes to prove that there is a demand for these babies!

Be The Master of Your Own Viewing Universe

Masterplex_21_2

With the CineMassive MasterPlex 21T now you can feel like you're at the epic center of your own colossal nerve center! Comprised of a half-dozen monitors with a total of 8,473,600 pixels these bevy of oddly shaped stackable monitors are very expensive. Costing $3,299 for a bunch of regular monitors isn't very economical or even practical. Details on this site about the monitors are sketchy at best with no explanation on how one stand can support all of these monitors. Perhaps, the thing to do is to wait to see this set-up in real time action.  Honestly, this would be too much viewing real estate for the average home user or even corporate executive. At best such a monitor configuration is best suited for the security or aviation industries (at least in our humble opinion).

The HairMax LaserComb

Lasercomb_2While the FDA approved HairMax LaserComb ($545) may not do anything about your receding headline, it stakes claim to restore hair on your dome! In a FDA trial about 93% participants saw an increase in hair density with an average increase of 19 hairs/cm. If anything you may end up with more hair on a concentrated area of your head! What do you have to lose!

Add Some Technology to your Road Rage

Horntones_2

Hmm, why not add Horntones ($150) to your daily road rage repertoire? Horntones hooks into a car's horn system and enables one to play several different audio files at a press of a button on the device. Why not infuriate drivers and pedestrians which such favorites as "La Cucaracha" or fire off a string of obscenities. You can even play snippets from hits of the 1970's. We don't know how well received this device will be accepted by folks on the receiving end of these insults but may we suggest that you up your liability coverage for your automobile!

An Environmentally Tryke Built for Only a Few!

Ventureone_3

As the sale of SUV's decline in the United States and consumers are looking for more efficient and environmentally friendly ways to get around, Venture-One's three wheeled Hybrid and Electric Tryke ushers in a new era of transportation. The hybrid version gets 100 miles per gallon (which by far beats any SUV hands down) and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds which is very impressive. The price is $18,000 for the hybrid model and up to $23,000 for the all electric version. These vehicles may not have the room or girth of an SUV but it can be a sensible alternative for those who want to travel light and contribute to the well being of the environment. Look for the Tryke to hit the streets of California beginning next July.
