Airport Check-In Made Easy

If you're a regular traveler, youFlyclear10_01_4 know how annoying going through security checkpoints at the airport can be. They make you wait in line for what seems like forever and they go through your stuff and then you have to take your laptop out of your bag. And lets not forget about taking your shoes off. Yes, it's all done for everyone's security sake and there's not a problem with that, but what if there was an easier way that could save you time from waiting in long check-in lines?  Well, Flyclear is here to make your frequent trips to the airport a bit less painful. By registering with the service, you give them all of your info, fingerprints, and other pertinent info that goes into their database. Then you get a card that you swipe at the airport security kiosk.

The Digital Spout Cover

Digitalspout_4The Digital Bath Spout Cover ($30.99) fits over your current bath spout and displays the temperature of the water. So, you can kiss the days good bye of running your hands under the faucet. Also, this will provide a convenient as well as a comfort zone in knowing that you're safely preparing a bath for your child that is not too cold or too hot. Even washing your hands will no longer become a guessing game in trying to figure out when the temp is just right. Also, the digital display has large numbers indicating the exact temperature, and a color guide.

Running Low on Milk? The Smart Fridge Will Tell You!

Smartfridge_3

Kim Otto of Denmark's Innovation Lab hacked one of Siemens's TV-equipped refrigerators into a futuristic smart fridge, complete with a modified RFID reader, embedded processor, and touch screen interface. The fridge keeps track of it's contents (just as long as they are RFID ready) and it even knows when it's out of something. Thus, this fridge can alert you via email or cell phone. Additionally, this fridge can even alert one of a product recall. How cool is that! Presently, there aren't many products that are RFID tag ready but one can suspect that as this technology continues to advance it will move into our lives at a very rapid pace.

A Flash drive for your Pop

Popdrive

Ah, just what you've always wanted - a flash drive that doubles as a bottle opener! The Pop-drive ($30) has a removable 1 GB flash memory drive inside of a bottle opener. And let's be honest, the only drinks that you'll probably need a bottle opener for is a beer! Suffice it to say, the logic behind this idea is to at least put a flash drive with something that one would probably use for every day use. Just be sure to watch your alcohol intake and to always have a "sober" designated driver!

Briefcase Size Grill May Spread Envy

Porbarvar_lg_7

We think the "Carry and Go" BBQ grill will excite the every day grill artist as well as the seasonal tail-gating football enthusiasts alike! This very portable flame-griller is the size of a brief case and comes with its very own carry bag which is equipped with a shoulder strap. When opened, the grill is adorned with pressed metal innards that fold out into a barbi with a very decent cooking area. While this grill may not be able to handle the culinary demands of a full fledge picnic or an army of very hungry little leaguers, we think that its suitable for a more intimate to medium setting. If anything this grill may make one green with envy (that is until they get one of their own).

The Smoke Removing Ion Hanger

Ion_hanger_2

Jun Kurihara's concept smoke removing hanger maybe the perfect and useful travel companion that we've seen in awhile because it will remove those smokey odors from your clothes.  Thus, saving you a trip to the dry cleaner. Details are sketchy and vague at best as to how this hanger will actually work. One can only surmise that the holes in the base of this folding hanger will serve some kind of purpose and that would be to emit oxygen ions into your garments. Honestly, we don't see this hanger handling larger garments such as coats with ease. If anything the use of the ion hanger will hold one over until they can get their clothes to the dry cleaners. Actually, this is very one cool and interesting invention that we hope will move beyond the concept stage and into actual production!

The Pixel Watch - Light show included

Watches_woo

We have a certain affinity for watches here at Digital Graffiti because a well crafted time-piece coupled with style, ingenuity and creativity as well as superb craftsmanship catches our attention every time! The Pixel Watch ($160) from ODM adds a dash of futuristic flair and new-age technology and manages to impress with its features.  For starters the watches are available in white, brown or pink and its electro-luminescent (EL) band intensifies its color by shining through its translucent case. Also, during the night (from 9pm to 3am) one is treated to a light show on the watch that happens at the top of every hour. How cool is that!  We discovered one minor caveat about these watches and that is the matrix like green numerals that is depicted in these photos is actually white. However, let this not be a deterrent in your pursuit of electro-luminescent technology.

The VIOlight Toothbrush Sanitizer Aims to Zap Bacteria Away!

Violight_sanitizer_3Apparently, simply washing off your toothbrush with hot water after every use does not do the trick. Thus, your toothbrush is still rendered with germs. According to the VIOlight their toothbrush sanitizer ($50) aims to effectively clean and sanitize your toothbrush by shining ultraviolet light through the bristles of your toothbrush for 10 minutes! While we can't stake claim whether this device actually works, the folks at VIOlight have answers posted on their FAQ page as to how this whole process works and to answer your burning questions.  Additionally, the replacement bulb for this device are available for $12.

No, You're Not In A Video Game!

Anemix5

Perhaps, your next visit to one of those swanky night clubs or upscale bars or even to a hip modern art gallery may sport these funked out uber tech ANEMIX lights. These lights use OSRAM LED technology that use dual layered lighting which in turn creates a 3D glow which is akin to being in a video game (not to mention the tripped and spaced out feeling) that these lights could potentially add especially after a few of your favorite alcoholic beverages!
